Recently DY Constructions completed a refurbishment and downsizing project at our head office in Melbourne. Even before the project started there were a quite a few challenges with getting the required paperwork and approvals, DY Constructions was able to navigate through this successfully and get the project started.
Through the duration of the project there were many challenges which required plans to be amended a few times, which also meant reorganising schedules and different contractors DY Constructions was always willing and accommodating.

International Conservation Services engaged DY Constructions to refurbish our premises in late 2020.
DY provided outstanding service from the very beginning, for what was undoubtedly a difficult job. Firstly, the refurbishment had to be undertaken over a 4 month period while we continued to work in our laboratories and offices. Jason Frawley’s superb project management meant that our staff had clear timelines for which to plan their work in alternative spaces. In many instances, half of the lab was cordoned off to allow DY to work in the other half. Jason’s meticulous coordination of a wide range of contractors (including builders, painters, electricians, and other contractors not directly working with DY) was the foundation of our on-time and successful outcome.
Secondly, DY had to take into account our need for extreme care of sensitive equipment and client items. This was achieved with minimum concern on our part, and DY was very responsive to our requests throughout the project.
We were also impressed with the calibre of DY’s subcontractors, in particular Serge, the head builder. Serge was efficient, attentive to detail and careful.
We really appreciated having someone on board who obviously cares about the quality of his work, and who could develop good working relationships with everyone in the building. This is particularly important when a project runs for such a long period of time. We were also pleased with Jason’s excellent guidance about options. It helped enormously to have his expert advice and eagle eyes on project planning and progress. If we ever need another refurb, we’ll definitely be talking with DY.

We have involved DYC for the fit out works of our new retail and office space, Cosentino City Sydney located at 130 Hyde Park, Elizabeth St, Sydney CBD, as main General Contractor We have contacted different as, but DYC was the most professional during the bidding process and Jason Frawley and his team, they inspired us enough confidence, and we were not wrong in our choice.
DYC has exhibited skill, quality workmanship and responsiveness throughout the near 6 months of the project. It has been a not easy project because of distance, Covid-19 pandemic, travel restrictions and other challenges that we faced during the construction works. Despite of that Jason has stuck to a very demanding schedule and he was leading the whole process with success. A great compliment for any trade contractor is the fact that I have counted on them anytime I need some support from him to deal with other contractors.

We are the executive committee (elected owners) for a building in Waterloo with 150 apartments plus 30 commercial/offices spaces. Recently we decided to upgrade three foyers ( two residential and one commercial ) in the 180. lot building. Doing this is a mammoth task because it requires all owners to vote on said designs. raise funds and also pick quotes. DY Constructions were one of several companies that tendered for the work and it was from that moment we noticed their biggest difference.
From day one, DY were attentive to every matter and patient dealing with many different questions regarding their quote. They always sounded caring and took the time to break down every thing in detail. We then moved to accepting their quote which was another huge task. Liaising with 150 occupants about access. clearing, changing entrances, setting up safety measures along with so many other items we as a building had no idea about DY were all over it!
The works began on time as scheduled. however like any renovation there are speed humps and many moving pieces of which DY cleverly maintained throughout the entire process and not once was anything too hard. When it would rain, they would simply start something else, when there was a delay due to council, we moved items around in the calendar to better suit and just like that the job was completed ahead of schedule.
As it came to the end of the job, it was clear what we envisaged came to life and DY were mainly to thank. Nearing completion we decided to proceed with some additional works which DY competitively quoted. When it came to this task there was such items where DY were able to pull back some costs by wisely using other material already sourced throughout the renovation.
Finally customer service but more importantly attending to issues in real time is huge to us and we’ve experienced over the years that some trades are slack with this. This is another reason why we highly recommend Dimitri and his team.
To close, we would highly recommend DY for any job. big or small as they are clearly able to handle the task at hand. You’re welcome to call one of us as committee members to ask any questions.

I recently had the pleasure of working with DY Constructions on an office fit-out in Surry Hills, and I cannot express how thrilled I am with the results. Mark and his team have well and truly exceeded my expectations.
The project involved putting up a meeting room with a glass partition on one side with aluminium grid panelling and a wall on the other side, as well as electrical work including adding several power points, down lights and changing over our fluorescent lights to LED lights.
From the initial consultation, Mark was very prompt in addressing my enquiry and came out to the location to do measurements and discuss the options before providing a very detailed quote. Since it was my first time doing a fit-out, I had enquired at 5-6 different companies (many of which did not even bother coming out to the location), but DY constructions was competitive with pricing, really great with communication and provided a guarantee that ultimately made it an easy decision to go ahead with them.
